Hello my name is Jason and I currently work and live aboard a 105ft Intermarine as First Mate. The vessel cruises from Ft Lauderdale throughout Florida and to the Bahamas. I currently hold a Yacht Master Offshore 200 ton license, an Australian Skippers ticket and was captain of a vessel back in Australia for 3 years and worked as first mate on another vessel for 2 and a half years. I also owned a boat for 6 years. I also hold a STCW-95 certificate and was a qualified chef for 12 years.
My duties on this vessel have ranged from general day to day maintenance of both the yacht and its tender a 31 ft Jupiter, minor and major repairs, general engineering maintenance of both mains generators and outboard engines and all pumps. We only have 4 crew on this yacht so we help each other out where ever we can, from helping out in the galley to helping the stewardess with serving and clearing and making drinks.
We have recently done a yard period where I have undertaken major detailing and painting, sanding the teak decks and minor electrical work. I have also done a lot of passage plans, dockage arrangements and my fair share of docking and undocking of the yacht I am on now.
I have a good work ethic, a can do attitude and a good sense of humor and take great pride in my work.

My name is Jason and I am currently working on a 105ft Intermarine as first mate, the vessel cruises from Ft Lauderdale to Tampa and to the Bahamas also. I currently hold a coxswains ticket, STCW-95 cert., first aid cert. and was also a skipper of a vessel back in Australia for 3 years. I was a qualified chef for 12 years prior to changing career paths. I am a keen sports fisherman and happy to help others learn to fish. Working on the Intermarine has opened my eyes to the knowledge that is needed to run and maintain these vessels and I feel I have achieved that in a very short time but am always looking for new opportunities.
